Concrete Coatings

Basement Floors

Make the basement feel like the rest of the house.

Basement floors are often cold, gray and unfinished. A decorative coating gives the lower level a clean, finished look for a family room, gym, storage area or workshop — without the seams of tile or carpet.

Questions

Basement Floors FAQs

Can you coat a basement that gets damp?

Moisture needs to be evaluated first. Your specialist will check the slab during the estimate and recommend the right approach.

Do you work around furnaces and water heaters?

Yes. Crews coat around fixed equipment; your local team will go over what needs to be moved.

How long does a coating installation take?

Most residential garage floors are completed in a single day. Larger or multi-area projects may take longer — your estimate will include a schedule.

What’s the difference between polyurea, polyaspartic and epoxy?

They are all coating chemistries. Our brands use polyurea and polyaspartic systems, which allow the full install to be completed in a much shorter window than a traditional multi-day epoxy job. Your specialist can walk you through the exact system used for your project.

Can you coat concrete that has cracks or stains?

In most cases, yes. Cracks and pitting are repaired during surface prep, and grinding removes the top layer of the slab. Your specialist will assess the concrete during the estimate.

How do I choose a color?

Each brand carries a library of flake blends and solid colors. You’ll see physical samples during your in-home estimate.

Is there a warranty?

Yes — every brand provides a written warranty. Terms vary by brand and product, so your local team will review it with you.
